airbag replacement
So, I have my airbag and I have my STAR4 diagnostic gizmo.
Do I:
1) disconnect the battery, let the car sit for awhile, change out the airbag, connect the battery, connect the STAR4, reset codes/errors/whatever?
or
2) connect the STAR4, reset codes/errors/whatever, disconnect the battery, let the car sit awhile, change out the airbag, connect the battery?
or something else?
Thanks

You don't have to disconnect the battery(if it makes you feel better you can if you want to), replace airbag and then clear your codes. If you do disconnect your battery remember to normalize your windows and sunroof.

Doesn't make it right but I did it without disconnecting the battery. Just be careful with the airbag. It does contain explosives.
Here is a little movie about airbags and some crazy comrades.
