So I have owned a c32 now for just under a year. To make a long story short I haven't had all my ponies because my ecu had a glitch and made it so my supercharger only engaged for about one minuet after ignition. I decided To just drive it without all the power. Until yesterday. It is about 0 degrees F here in salt lake city. And after a cold start it suddenly started to work! I took about an hour round trip without it failing and a few short drives. Somehow the cold fixed my car. It's a miracle that saved me 5000$! I'm so happy! I wanted to share my story and ask the people of the forum WTF just happened!? Is it a miracle or am I just missing something?

No glitch in the ecu, you have a dying ic pump that doesn't flow coolant fast enough. Get a cm30 pump from ape.USA for $145 shipped. It will fix your problem.

+1, earlier today i installed a new IC pump in conjunction with the Needswings ICiso kit with 2 bottles of Chill Charger.. I had the same symptoms but only during the day, at night i could drive the car with full power because of the cold weather.. You should definitely get a new pump with the ICiso kit, its robbing you for the full power..

I had mb test the ic pump and they said no... That's what I thought it was at first as well, but it was replaced right before I bought it. Plus Mercedes said it was fine and they said it was the supercharger. I had an independent shop that specializes in mb tell me it was the ecu. (it's obviously not the sc because it's working fine now!)

it's the IC pump.

when i had a warranty, i told them countless times to fix my IC pump but they kept denying it was the problem. well i had another shop replace it...and through some finaggling, made MB pay for it

...it's the IC pump. the symptoms you explain are 100% that regardless of what you are told

What indie shop did you have look at it? I take my car to Precision European Auto in SLC. They do excellent work. I took my car to them with the same problem about a year and a half ago. I told them I thought it was the IC pump but they insisted it was the Supercharger. They replaced it under warranty and when the problem still existed, they replaced the IC pump and I haven't had a problem with it since.

I agree. Its such a pain reading a lot of these thread titles having no idea what they're about till you read the thread. It should be a rule that the thread title be related to the actual thread. Makes searching for topics a *****.

Take it to a different MB dealer and ask them to diagnose it for you. I had my C32 checked twice for a bad IC pump by one dealer and they said it was fine. Then I took it to another dealer and they confirmed it was the IC pump.

Star will show a code And tell you a failing pump but not a CEL.

I live in Draper and I just purchased a 2002 C32 and the transmission went out. Precision is putting a trans in it now and will be done tomorrow. Good to see there are others with C32's in Salt Lake. What are some easy cheap mods I can do? Do you have photos of yours?
