Looks like they discontinued it, at least for the Mobil1 0w-40. Sorry fellas. It appears that if you put 12 quarts in your cart, you get a $0.12 discount plus $50 off your next purchase at Advance Auto Parts.

I didn't know oil went on sale Black Friday. Too bad I missed this... Just payed $80 dollars for 9 quarts of Mobil-1 0w40 at Autozone.

Well on Nov 31st,i paid for 12 quarts at 4/quart,printed the receipt but wasn't able to go there until today.
So i go there today and i was told Advance auto had cancelled the order so no oil for me. To say i was pissed would be an understatement. I had the guy call Advance auto and while i was giving out to the guy on the other end,the sales guy tells me to hang up the phone and that he will match the price.
So what do i get.

18q of Mobil-1 15W50 (for my Porsche)
24q of Mobil-1 0w40 (for E55)

So 42 quarts at $3.99/q for a total price of $177 isn't bad,is it ?

It's a bummer that i forgot about our 530i which takes 5w30 or else i would have picked up some more Mobil-1. I did call the store as soon as i remembered that (10 minutes) but the store won't match the price,i wonder why

Wow. The manager must have been a nice guy and must have really wanted to keep your business. I am amazed they even had 24 quarts of the 0w-40 in stock. Mobil1 15w-50? I don't believe I have ever even seen that! Of course, I guess I never looked. Glad to see they still honored the deal. It seems that Advance Auto Parts quickly ended the sale of the 0w-40, even though they kept the general sale on oil going for an additional several days beyond the original planned termination date.
