Silly Me!! can't get the dead battery out!

My 2002 C32 AMG has a dead battery. I found Walmart's MAXX 49 is the right battery replacement for this car but I cannot pull the battery out. It is an OIM battery that probably has been replaced by the dealership. the huge battery has two plastic handles that unfold and come up. but for some reason I cannot pull the battery out of its case. It feels as though something from the bottom is holding the battery in like a screw or glue. There is also a plastic tube attached to the battery from the LHS (when viewed from the front of the vehicle). any idea what this is? Thanks for your help.

There should be a braket at the bottom on the right hand side being held by two 10mm nuts.

Thank you. what is the plastic tube on the LHS of battery connected to? Also how do you reach the bracket at the bottom of battery? not from under, as there are other parts blocking it. Thanks again.

If you do see the nuts, use a torque ranch a long extension. You can just loosen the nuts and slide the battery to the left and up.

I used a 6" extension on my ratcheting wrench. Torque wrench isn't needed IMO. Forgot the socket size, but it's in MM just like everything else. The plastic tube may or may not be used depending on what the new battery is. It is a vent for the OE battery.
