Only time will tell.
And technically mrobin, the gears are already meshed together, but the clutches, splines, and gear teeth are put through an incredible amount of stress at that instant. Yes, transmission are designed to withstand neutral drops, parking slams, etc, but you don't really want to find out how many it takes to break it.....
Having been a transmission engineer, I will tell you right now that it's the most fragile and precise component in the entire vehicle.

Yes, the car cost $60,000 originally. Just because you bought it for $17,000 doesn't mean its going to cost the same as a $17,000 car to fix. You got a grown *** car, and with it, comes some grown *** bills

Ok ok, I'll stop. Its more than likely OK. But your a moron and a punk to treat a car with a $60,000 + replacement value like that.
Realize that a high performance German car isn't something you can just put oil in and expect to run for another 60k miles. Things break, and on these cars, they cost big bucks to fix. Just wait until you have your first Service A. Full synthetic... a $250.00 oil change. And then Service B... a $450.00 oil change and alignment.

If you don't want a lecture, then don't make posts asking if your transmission and (hand-built) engine are broken after you rape it going 60.

Ignore the trolls brah. Learn from your mistakes, and move on, which is exactly what you're doing. Enjoy your AMG, treat her right and she'll return the favor. Are you daily driving it??

Maybe you shouldnt post in my thread anymore. I made a mistake and I simply asked about what was wrong and for someone who knew more about it to explain it. I thought this forum was about kindness and giving advice.. Not about being an *** and trying to rub it in my face that I made a mistake.
