2002 C32 transmission electrical issues
I screwed up
and need some opinions.
The car was working fine.
I was going to plug in the diagnostic tool, and accidentally grabbed the wrong wire from the heap, and tried mightily to plug a computer serial port connector into the OBDII port under the steering wheel....Don't ask....
So, there was a bit of a spark as one or a couple of pins apparently got shorted with +12V. Now the engine runs but:
when in park, the car can't be pushed, but when the engine is revved, it will move forward, like it is in 1st gear a "little bit". Like maybe it's in 3rd, 4th, or 5th gear.
Reverse doesn't work.
Neutral does the same as park - seems like its in, maybe, 5th gear.
Drive works normally - supercharger engages, etc.
I disconnected the battery a couple of days ago and I have not gotten back to it yet. I have not looked at fuses yet.
What do you think I fried?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thanks

I like that the ad that displayed on this thread for me is for AAA.
Call the tow truck, have it towed to a good indy mechanic for diagnostics. No one on this forum is going to be able to give you a good answer. The electronics on these things are incredibly complex.

Word of advice. If they say its your ECU or some other computer, have a specialist look at it. I had an issue with my ECU once and my indy shop quoted me $5K to replace it, but had a specialist that repairs ECUs look at it just in case. The specialist found that it was just a single wire that had worked its way loose, and resoldered it for less than $100.
