Just got my New Eurocharged TCU Mod!

So I just got back from the SF Bay Are Eurocharged Custom Dyno Tune Day with Jerry doing the tuning and was sponsored by ASP Performance(Thanks for the pizza Vlad!)
http://aspperformance.com/

A ton of E55's all came out plus a SL55, SL65, Brabus K8, E63. Gorgeous cars!

So Jerry and Eurocharged has a new TCU mod for our cars that reduces the downshift time from 1.5 seconds to .5 seconds and it rocks!!

He also bumped me up a bit from my last tune which Tony did. Dyno was a LAnd and sea Dynomite which is the same as the previous dyno we used over at 034 Motorsports in Fremont.
I baselined at 342 RWHP 360TQ. He then got me up to 372 RWHP and 360 TQ. Car is crazy fast!! Who wants to hit the track??

Car runs great!!

Thanks to ASP, Eurocharged and especially Jerry!

From what I've gathered, the latest ECU tune includes this. Is this correct?

Either way, can't wait to get the new tune on the car!

Greg, does it do anything for "upshifts"?? How about the 1,500 RPM bump??

Jerry included the TCU mod with his tune.

RobertAMG has some video of it here:

Eurocharged TCU Mod

Jerry can probably best describe all of what it does.

Anyone down for a track day?? Sacramento? I've never been and probably need some tips.

No, i don't have yet a TCU tune in my car, this is not a TCU(transmission control unit) tune, Jerry has a new stage ECU tune where he has changed many parameters concerning the shifting and other things from the ECU, yes he is the master of tuning.
but he also has a TCU tunes for many cars, now it's official on E55k and V12 on their website i think, what you see in my videos are from an ECU tune only, you guys have to wait and see what he can do also from a TCU tune(maybe the end of this month).
it will include raising the shifting rpm from 6200 to 6500 also from the TCU, now i have it on the newer ECU(rev limiter raised to 6500).

Yes, this is what I'm referring to, maybe I named it incorrectly.

if i remember correctly the tcu mod is about 850 and is different from the ecu tune. i have jerry's latest files and he changed the torque files which gave my 32 much better , smoother shifting and rendered 1st and most of 2nd gear useless on my street tires! afr's at 170mph were in the 11.9 range

Apparently, this is where the NEW tune comes into play (from the EC site):

- removal of the speed limiter (did this on old tune)
- changing of the shift points (this is new!!)
- raise the rev limit (from what to what??)
- modify fueling - you will actually see an increase in mpg with the tune
- modification of timing values (hmm?)
- modification of torque maps (we saw HP increases but torque too??)
- much more!

** Ok Jerry and Jake, what's the MUCH MORE??? ***
