SoCal pre-buy car inspection
Has anybody used EuroGarage Motorsports in Monterey Park CA? I saw a craigslist ad that says they will do a pre-buy inspection, the inspection includes the following: (copied and pasted from their Craigslist ad)
"1.computer , visual diagnose engine for any mechanical problems.
2. computer, visual and test drive vehicle for any mechanical problems.
3.Visual check autobody for previous accident or repainted panels
4.Visual check for any structural damages
5. Check all fuilds
6.Visual check and test drive vehicle for any suspension related problems
7. A complete electronic diagnostic service will be performed, check engine computer, check transmission computer *if available* and complete vehicle electrical check.
8. after all visual check and daignose is done we will include a check list and recomendation for the car.
Our Pre Inspection Service is $150 for a complete vehicle check up. We put vehicle on lift to check , oils leaks to suspension bushing
Why use my service . I am experienced mechanic and used car seller for more than 15 years and have knowledge of any mechanical or structural damages to BMW and Mercedes benz"
Sounds like a thorough job for a decent price.

A quick Google gave me a review of the shop showing 2 dif mini's, a VW and a 13 year old BMW in the first four driver reviews. Nothing wrong with an indie, but seems that a MB dealer would do a pre-buy inspection for about the same cost. You could even take it to a dealer that isnt associated with the seller if that is possible. That was the path I took and the third party mechanic was a real help. Best of luck

another member on here is from your area and was looking into buying a c32 and doing the same thing before he bought it. i recommended him DC performance in LA because the owner really knows his AMG's there. the guy i recommended had a great experience with them.

I saw that thread where you recommended DC performance. I made a note of it, went to the website and then put it on the list of places to check out. Once I get back to LA I'll start checking out the different shops.

if you are looking fo buy a mercedes I can do the pre buy inspection for you cause i I have the star diagnosis and with that you can pretty much tell anythign that is wrong mechanicaly and elctronicaly with mercedes I'm in san diego rightnow and free for the next week. i would do it for free just gas money to get to where you want the car scanned.
