this crankshafts are made only for the C32 (SLK32/SRT6), but you need also other pistons to this, but I do not have.

for the M112 NA engines, brabus make other crankshafts for an 3.8l conversion

with an original 3.7l M112 from ML/SL/S-class, and this crankshaft, you can built an 4.0l M112!!

Why do you have to change pistons? if you are only increasing the stroke.
from where did you get the SC inlet?

Would the new rev limit be set to about 4000 rpm with this crankshaft?

when the hub is increased to 7 mm, then the connecting rod or piston is shorter by 3.5 mm

why???

91mm stroke ist no problem to 6500rpm.

the "m156" have 94.6mm stoke, and rev limit over 7000

i was thinking same thing.
you did not find any piston or connecting rod shorter by 3.5mm? with same piston bore or larger piston bore(to 2mm)?
i will search here.

1990 300ce supercharged and intercooled
I looked into this for a customer years ago. The ml350 is actually 3.7liters with the same bore as the 3.2l. So if you were trying to do this on the cheap just get a 3.7l and mill the pistons for lower compression. Otherwise just get custom pistons and rods made. You would be looking at around 3,000 for custom forged pistons and rods that could take anything.
I am really surprised that this has not been done more on this platform.

with the offered brabus crankshaft, original M113 ML pistons and the original 3.7l block with the corresponding connecting rod there is a 4.0l M112 .....

for more details, see my tread "My Next Step".

So the e55 piston and rods make a 92mm stroke and the brabus crankshaft is for 91mm stroke, So are you sure the 55k piston rods and the brabus crank will fit the 3.7l block? the 1mm difference is in the higher or lower part of the cylinder? also the 3.7L block can handle the increased stroke from 84mm to 91 or 92mm? does the pistons hits the heads? i am interested, the 3.7L engine is in my garage!

hi,

the problem ist the rod.
the M112 rods are too long, the rods from M113 have an too small hole for the Crankschaft bearing.
i thing the best way to go is with carrillo (or ohter rod manufactor) to make "costum rods" for this exclusiv m112......
