Final phase of C55 SC project finally started

do you recommend Quaif? as I'm thinking of installing an LSD on my C55.
sounds like your running a sweet c55, would love to see some images of the beast

A thicker head gasket is a bad idea according to all the expert tuners I spoke to. The dispersion of the gas vapors will be very uneven and will cause detonation.
Do you have the Eaton or Autorotor SC? Both are very good blowers. I would not run with a 65mm pulley even if you put the extreme wrap on it unless you find a way to lower the compression or else the engine life would be drastically shortened.

AMGSC,
I never heard a response to what you think is the "safe" pulley set up to use on a Kleemann SC? I'm looking to make some "tweaks" in the not too distant future

OK, so where can I get me one of these 65 MM pulleys (EC or Dynocomp) for the autorotor?? I'll stick with the stock cranker. I am wondering how small I can go on the Kleemann SC pulley before belt slippage becomes an issue.
Cant you just reduce the CR by raising the heads with gaskets??

You can search and read other posts on this topic for a SC'd C55 but I would say 8PSI or a 65mm pulley should be Ok. A 60mm (10psi) pulley will slip unless you install an tensioner pulley to increase the wrap to over 180 degrees but not recommended with stock compression. My compression ratio was lowered so I plan on running a 60mm pulley with tensioner pulley and a 170mm (stock is 150mm) crank will get me to 14psi.

Alumnar went back to a 70mm pulley so something did not work right before he sold his car.

It's proven a bit challenging even for Richard. So far they replaced the MAF sensor ($480 part - OEM, not Ebay knockoff), a new set of OEM plug wires ($360 - OEM) and the car ran fine for a little while before reverting back to a rough idle. They are trying to modify the ECU to disregard the Kleemann voltage clamp. This was the news about 5 days ago.

They had to replace the rubber TB elbow with a fabricated metal piece because the elbow was collapsing under high boost. They also repaired the wire harness caused by Vadim's engine fire.
They are waiting for the header fabricator to finish up the elbow by next week and then proceed with tuning the car with high boost.
Looks like with their busy schedule that my car will ready for pick-up in ANOTHER two weeks.
