OK I'm in the last month prior to my C32 coming out of hibernation hungry for V8s and dragway days but I'm at a bump in the road I plan to install a PSK=pulley saver kit because of a seized bearing(idler I believe) anyway I need to know anyone that has changed that before(idler that is) what's the size of that bolt? I wish to repair the threads if it needs it but I don't know which helicoil(thanks Splinter) to buy...here are my choices...TIA

Victor, your damaged threads secured the #4 idler “guide” pulley that mounts on the water pump, yes?
If so, the OE or PSK fastener (at that location) requires a M10/1.50-pitch bolt. Source a HeliCoil® insert that will restore that sizing and configuration. Note the original threaded opening must tapped oversized -approximately 13/32” in this instance- to accommodate its new steel insert. It may be necessary to first remove the water pump in order to drill and re-thread to sufficient depth, unless a helicoil-specific tap is used.
Most any competent technician will be able to perform the task, thereby saving the expense of replacing an otherwise sound pump.

![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I have a problem in my c32 amg too.
I loosed the 4 first threads on my "6" pulley in the compressor, when i changed this pulley i think that the previous owner damaged it.
Actually its running good and have good torque 18-20Nm.
What is the required pitch bolt for an heli coil? I think that it is M8??? X ????.
Can any help me?
Best regards
