it seems like the fifth gear is very close to the fourth gear. In order to save fuel, is there any way I could mod it? Is it hard to mod?

probably changin the differential will be the way. but... that will be aleast a 2-3 thousand $ worth of a job. plus... i never heard of any aftermarket company that bulids differential for mercedes.

I don't think differential will help much, it is inside the transmission, new gears inside the transmission, qhich means re-engineering it

While it won't get better gas mileage, changing the rear differential will get the C32 much faster in the quarter mile.

The changing from a 3.20 to a 3.90 rear gear will drop the quarter mile time by at least half a second. I understand there are lots of available rear end ratio gears, as well as posi rear ends.

There is a differential made for the c32 by a german company called MKB >>> www.mkb-power.de
They have different differential for various needs and wheel sizes but they cost over $3500 i believe plus shiping, labor etc.....
