Sorry for the late reply. My car was tuned by Jeremy at OE Tuning. Here's how it went down:
I arrived at OE tuning around 8:00 am on a cool 45 degree morning. They didn't open until 9:00 so I waited around for about an hour. Jeremy arrived in his amazing C63 around 9:00am or so.
He strapped my C55 to the dyno and made 5 or 6 pulls. He was making every attempt to get the highest power for the base run. Most of the runs were in the 280-285 hp range but we did get a couple 290 hp runs so those were what he used for the base run.
After that, he downloaded my stock tune into his computer and went to work. He spent the entire day tweaking the tune and 6 hours and at least 20 pulls later, he had a tune he was happy with. The gain was about 15 HP, 12 Tq.
Also, by the end of the day the temperature had warmed to about 78 degrees. Every pull was done on a warmed up engine.
So to summarize,
C55 with 134,000 miles and stock everything
stock tune - 45 degrees - 290hp
OE tune - 78 degrees - 305hp
The second I left OE tuning, I was very pleased.
I took my car on a long trip to AZ, and it ran great. I have a wideband installed and AF looks perfect. Cruising is not affected at all that I can tell.
Throttle lag is gone. Off the line, the car responds instantly. Half throttle off the line will cause ESP to kick in. Before the tune, I would hear a faint pinging during part throttle at low rpm, but after the tune I cannot hear it anymore. I have not been to the track yet to see how it does in the 1/4 mile but I feel that the drivability is much nicer.
My buddy and I shot video footage of the tuning process and dyno pulls. I have not put together an edited video yet but I will have that ready for viewing very soon.
All in all, I am very happy with the tune. My previous opinion about "20 hp not being worth it" has been proven wrong. I admit it, the car feels and IS faster than before. Any other C55 would probably see even better gains than my 135,000 mile beast.
Jeremy also offers a small device for holding 2 tunes. You can have additional tunes saved on a laptop as well. If you have the need for more than one tune (say for NOS or for race gas) than Jeremy has the best, most reliable solution.
If anyone has questions please feel free to email me.
thanks!

Thanks for the writeup Mike! It was a pleasure working on your car and we appreciate you lending us your beast for the day. Your car achieved some great results even at 134,000 miles. This in itself is a true testament to how great these cars are built and also that its never too late to consider more power!
