C55 HID Fog Lamp Conversion

Thinking about getting some HID's to replace the standard bulbs in my fog lamps. I want to make the fogs match the Xenon's i believe xenons are 4300K, does anyone have decent pictures also any recommendations where to get them?

I converted my fogs to HID and it was relatively easy. Granted I have a W202 and you have a W203 but the concept is the same.

You will need the HID ballasts and bulbs and then you will need to modify your fog light housing to accept the wiring from the HID ballast. You will be able to use your stock wiring to turn them on and off but they will be powered by the HID ballast.

Here are some pics of how my install went:

Here is a pic of the HID ballasts I used ( you can use pretty much anyone you like)

Here is a pic of me testing the fog light before I installed it

Here is the finished result (8K headlights + 8k fog lights) Looks WAY better at night.

Sorry for the crappy pics they were taken with my iphone. After doing it I could alter both fog light housings and have them closed up ready for install in less than an hour but if it is your first time it might take closer to 2 hours.

I bought my kit from some local guy off of craigslist but you can get them almost anywhere. Here is a place to get some:

Good luck!
