About to replace shocks on 02 c32. advide needed?
the front of my car is a feeling little softer than the back and im needing a little advice on a replacement shock. i like the hard ride that the stock shocks and h&r springs give me. does anyone have exp with replacing with a aftermarket shock? the car has about 65k on the odo. can i get away with repalcing the front only since the back is still quite stiff? will the aftermarket shocks keep the stiff amg ride???? anything you know will be helpful thanks.

You sure it's the front struts? I've always found the stock C32 springs up front to be too soft. The C55 suspension is the perfect setup for balance between road and occasional track use. The C55 replaces the front springs and struts with stiffer ones. However, leaves the rear springs the same as the C32 and increases the stiffness of the rear shocks only slightly. I would either order the front C55 springs or get the front springs and struts from the C55. This will lower your ride a modest 1". The prices from the dealership are quite resonable and comparible to aftermarket suspension prices. The ride is firm.

As already mentioned dealership has resonable prices.
You can try genuinemercedesparts.com or parts.com. After I factored in shipping and duties, it was actually cheaper to buy locally from a dealership.
