I/C Pump Fail Symptoms
I'm 95% percent sure my IC pump took a dump today. I've noticed as of late every so often the car would bog out. Especially when going up hills. But didn't think anything off it, thought it was probably the tranny being..well a C32 tranny. (I assumed it just didn't feel like down shifting)
But today I was cruising along on the freeway
and went to hit the gas from about 65 ish and the car was just making a lot of noise. By this I mean I'd floor it (not hitting the kick down switch) and it felt like POS V6. It was as if the SC wasn't turning on. After playing around on the freeway I noticed the issue was most promanent when the car was in 3rd gear. The engine revs high but it feels like someone pulled all the torque out of the car. Horrible! 
So, sound like an ICP problem?
One more thing, this could be nothing, but I noticed my MPG's have gone up to 23mpg which is really unsual. (I'm normally around 19-20 freeway tops)

I read an awesome thread on another forum by user "2002c230" and replacement seems simple enough.

Part will be here in a few days. Can I drive the vehicle while the pump is going out?? (Sometimes the power comes back, sometimes it doesn't)

That pump will fit, I recommend you also buy the Ford Lightning pigtail since the Mercedes and Ford plugs are not the same. Here it is with the pump:

You will also have to switch the impeller housing from the Mercedes pump to the new Ford pump since the suction and discharge pipes are different from Mercedes pumps. Other than that your good, great Saturday morning project.. Good Luck..

Wow awesome thank you.
Great tip on the impeller housing, I wouldn't figured it out the hard way I'm sure. Makes things a bit easier

Also recommended is the Needswings isolation kit with a bottle of Chill Charger. Would be a great upgrade, easy to install and keep those IAT's down.
