I have found some DIY but nothing yet of exactly what I need. I am going to try and wrap my silver sport trim in carbon vinyl.. If anyone could help me out on how to remove the trim it would be greatly appreciated.

If you find anything, please let me know. I've got the CF wrap ready to do this exact same thing.

Tell me what you want to remove and I will post screen shots from the WIS, "silver sport trim" is a little vague as I do not own a C55.

I need to know how to remove this,

The silver trim on the door

The actual shift knob

The air vent above the glove box.

The air vent above the headlight switch

Are you using 3m carbon wrap to do this? Is so what style carbon did you buy?

Only wondered as there is quite a range of the carbon. I was thinking of doing this and wondered what would be the closest match to the C63

if its like other mercedes car the door trim should be taken out from the back of the door thus having to remove the panel while did you try popping out the vents wit ha little pressure?

So it would require dis assembeling the whole door panel? I have not tried that on the vents im worried I might brake something...

The pieces on the door panels are held on with three retainers from the back side. They need to be removed carefully to be reused.

You need to remove the door panel to get at the silver trim. Once the panel is removed you can unfasten the trim from behind the panel.

No problem, even though I do not own a C55 we are still AMG brethren

I suggest you go and buy a heat gun, they are only $20-$40. Do it right the first time is my motto ESPECIALLY when it comes to my AMG.

Good luck!
