3rd gear power loss, stumped!
Alright, *sigh* So, I've been having issues with intermittent power loss. It seems to only happen once the car has warmed up and usually while in the 3rd gear. (On the freeway it's most noticeable) All of a sudden, bam no power. It's as if someone has turned off the super charger. I can usually let go of the gas and press it again, sometimes the power will come back. When driving like a granny at low speeds, everything is fine and I can hear the super charger.
The symptoms all lead to a bad intercooler pump. I've read a few threads in which users had the same problem, all matching my symptoms. BUT we put a brand new pump in today and it's the same
I'm really stumped here. Ideas?
One thing to note - I'm not sure if this will be of help. But there is a "low coolant" warning on the dash display. Even after turning the car on and off a few times and driving for almost 40 minutes, it's still there...There is plenty of coolant so I have no idea why this error is popping up.

How do I test the pump? Sorry to sound ignorant.
EDIT: Actually, I'm guessing you mean with a Voltmeter. Which, I did not do. I can check it first thing tomorrow

Fixed! I hate people that don't update their posts so as much as this pains me...I'm going to update.
A few days ago we where doing a tranny flush on the car. While it was emptying I decided to check some fuses...turns out I forgot to put the 7.5 fuse back into slot 5. The pump wasn't on at all! So I put the fuse back in and just took it out for a test run. The new pump has made a HUGE difference. I took it for a nice test drive on the freeway and about pissed my pants. God this car is quick!
The only remaining issue is the Coolant Check on the dash display. The car has coolant and the engine isn't over heating at all. Perhaps an air pocked in the line somewhere?
