Rubber Smell AC
When the AC is running in my car, especially during a hot day, it smells faintly of burnt rubber. Any idea what it could be?
I know my gasket are not leaking as I changed them out only 5k ago. (Almost all of the gaskets too) It did have a burnt oil smell but that is gone since the gasket replacement.
Not really sure what else it could be. I thought maybe a god hose down of the engine area would help but because I live in a Condo community I don't have a hose hookup. So, I have to drive to the self car wash. Problem is, as you all know, then engine is usually at full operational temperature. I'm afraid if I try to wash the engine down while it's still hot, I'll end up cracking the block. It takes forever for these damn cars to cool down.

Cover up all electronics and hand wash engine with engine cleaner and a towel. Then with a bucket of water let water cascade over engine.
