I really doubt its the head. The engine itself is built very well from AMG. Its usually the accessory components that go bad like the radiator, intercooler pump and intercooler. I would start by replacing the intercooler first.
If you take off the intake and take off the manifolds. You can check for the green grunk, but also if you take a flash light and feel around the area under the intercooler you should see of feel some liquid in the valley where there intercooler is located.

Your only real option now is to get an OEM one from the dealer or a parts website. Code 3 AKA HP Autowerks no longer offers theirs and even if you could find a used code 3, there were a lot of fitment issues. Eurocharged doesn't make an intercooler. I think you may be confusing it with a heat exchanger. The intercooler sits under the supercharger and cools the supercharger. The heat exchanger acts like a radiator to cool the liquid coming from / going to the intercooler. PITA is an acronym for "Pain In The ***". This is what you need:

For C32 and SLK32, the part number is the same. It is A1125000000 for $822.
What you get for $300 is most likely the HE.

well not now ! i had the headgaskets done because of the oil in coolent etc...but since i had it back it just loses coolent so i just thought maybe it was the intercooler all along but as you say this could not really happen, i guess the gaskets went and the intercooler...

Anyways, you would definitely lose coolant with glycol contamination problem. But I think if he was losing enough that he was having to refill his transmission would be shedding tears by now.
Maybe it's a simple external radiator leak though? I'm guessing you don't get any puddles or anything obvious?
And how did they confirm it wasn't the intercooler? Did they pull it out and do a pressure check on it?
