Water pump failure
Replaced my supercharger bearing thinking it was the cause. Still a loud bearing sound although no more clicking from the charger. The belt is occasionally slipping. Checked coolant reservoir small metal shavings. Slight signs of coolant splash by the pump. Months ago I had purchased an aftermarket water pump to find out it didn't have that "unused" section us with the PSK need. Has anyone purchased aftermarket pump that is an exact replica? Really need to save some $$$ if possible on this one. Best I could find for OEM $360... Found this pump, but I'm thinking it's the previous one I purchased.

Sourced the OEM pump for $340 shipped. Upon removing the pumps pulley found a pile of metal shavings and signs of leakage on the bottom tube. Metal shavings present in the reservoir.
Has anyone with the 185mm replaced their water pump and did the crank have to be removed to get at that bottom bolt?

gt4awd-0T- Hey man I was reading your intro posts from march of last year while I was researching air intakes. I like the way you just jump in and do stuff your own way. I was thinking of throwing a boost gauge in tomorrow morning, for maintenance purposes. I was wondering if you could elaborate on how you found the boost to hook it to. Where you drilled your hole and exactly how you set it up? I Apologize for jackin your thread. Also your intake really made 20 whp? I dont care what it looks like, why did you go back to stock?

You can tap into one of the rubber couplers instead of removing and drilling into the charge pipe. I went through the ecu bay to run the line into engine. Removed the intake due to excessive heat during summer time. Really all that needs to be done is heat wrap of the entire system. Yes it made 20whp in colder conditions.

Received the pump today and it is the OEM bilstein. Not a bad deal shipped and all if anyone is looking I got through the same above linked website. They can source it but don't have it listed. Here I am thinking ready to go, but I guess some coolant would help... Just do my front rotors, and pads today I guess. Can't wait to get the benzo running again.

Pump wasn't too bad except for the one bolt behind 185MM crank. Had to end up getting a ratcheting 8mm and even then it took forever. For order of bolts I took a photograph of the pump and labeled each bolt hole. Wrapped each bolt in foil and labeled. Marked off bolt sections not in use. The front rotors and pads also turned out nice. No vibration at all, and good braking power from the start.
