Engine cover emblem

I just purchased a 2005 C55 and noticed the star emblem on the engine cover is broken. After doing some research it appears that you have to replace the whole engine cover as the star emblem is not sold separately.

I also noticed that some members have used the 8.5cm emblems to replace the star emblem with an AMG emblem. This is the route I want to go but I need to know what was used to attach the emblem to the engine cover. Is there a high temp glue that was used or a two part epoxy?

This is the emblem I want to use:

Thanks
Pete

Has no one done this? I was reading a couple of posts were it appeared others had replaced their broken engine cover emblem. I just need to know what adhesive was used to attach the new emblem to the cover.

Here is a link to a member who did it. I just sent him a PM in hopes that he will respond.
