I was first looking to run the twin in the front but it couldnt fit without moving everything around. I would like to keep the originality of the car and make it look great. Im looking into two T3 turbos.

dont know your abilities or if you will farm this out. so i would look at some guys from the xfire forum. smaller engines but will help see what you need. first would be importlabsrt. he has removed the s/c and installed a turbo between the heads. second is eric, he added a rear mounted turbo to push his oem s/c. also lantanatx, he swapped a 500 v8 in his xfire and has been researching various turbo applications for months looking for the best setup to boost his n/a v8. coding maf vs map and encrypted ecu are just a few of the issues you will have to overcome for this to work. marcin at speedriven can also be a great source of info and lets not forget rcompart who is at speedriven also
can it be done? yes . cheaply no way

if i didn't have a c55 and didn't care about weight additions, i would have done something crazier than this (no offense blackroof) this is what i do for a living for the most part. tim, i just bought my sister an e90 325i, i'm gonna do some mods on that while she's at school

I saw a twin turbo w209 CLK @ Kleemann in Colorado. It is going to be a beast for sure, but I'd want to live next door to a knowledgable shop like klee or E/C to build it.
Cool project!

I guess I would just get an E55. An E55 with a couple of well thought out mods will probably put down more power, more efficiently, and more reliably. After you drop $10k on your turbo setup, you'll be at E55 money any how.

Ok well a C55 that is a V8 Biturbo is much cooler and would put down more power than a E55. I think so at least. We will see if I actually get this done. I also dont want a big E anyway.. Thats why I got the C in the first place..

its not just the power you have to consider. the trans torque limits at 500 ft.lbs? the axle shafts most likely wont handle the power nor will the flex plates. it has to be an entire package to work properly. power will always find the weak link. so prepare to spend money fabbing parts you never thought you would have to bother with

A guy by the handle of "konig's tiger" on Benzworld forums claimed he built a twin Turbo C55 and wide body conversion kit. You can find pics but details are sketchy.

After going to Another Level in Palatine on Saturday and getting the "latest" Jerry Tune (wow!!), I would say that anything is possible with a lil time, engineering and lots of $$$!!! I even saw a 10 second Civic there (not street legal) with the skinny's on the rear and the drags on the front (gotta love the FWD draggers). So, yes, you could do a TT C55. Now its a matter of DO you want to???

I love your reply. Why is it that others always steer us away from our ole C Classes when we love them so???

As an aside, MB says they didn't do the 5.4 TT in the new 2012 C Class because of torque affecting the chassis?? I'll be it gets the TT treatment next year or after BUT not the 5.4.

If you've got the time and $$, its doable. Get a hold of Rcompart (forum member) since he's done some amazing things with SRTs and E Classes (engine conversions) . Speeddriven in Palatine IL has also done a lot of TT AMG stuff and you may want to pick their brain. Ask for Jo or Marcin. I honestly think this is NOT a DIY job.
