Problem:
Intermittent Problem with Engine, sometimes the idle will hunt from 2k to 4k rpm.
RPM will not drop, need to turn engine off.
Lost power.
Engine light sometimes comes on, not all the time.

Star fault codes: Electronic Throttle body & Gas pedal sensor.


Item Replaced or Repaired;
Throttle body changed
Gas Pedal sensor (whole unit) changed
Mechanic checked all engine wire harness for any breakage. None
ECU taken for repair and program re installed by MB.
Supercharger water pump also changed
Spark plugs, leads, airfilter changed


All the above items where replaced or repaired 2 weeks ago and the car was returned to me, it drove perfectly for 2 weeks until today the problems came back, the fault codes are the same. does anyone have any in-sign into this problem???
This morning i drove it to work 20min and parked it for 8 hours then on the way home after driving out the parking lot it just stuttered and no power, no engine light this time.


I've posted this problem before but not successful, i hope someone could help......

What was the check engine light? I think it could be your cats.

You have not yet mentioned throttle body hardness.

Edit: My bad I see it now . You my try to clean the contactor with electric cleaner.

Possibly. It should throw a code if that is the case.

One other thing is that the Cats are new too only 6 months old.

This car is giving me a head headache...

Maybe a intermittent vacuum leak. Have you tried wiggling all the wires/hoses under the hood to see if the problem comes back.

Checked for vacuum leaks, everything looks fine. The fault codes keep in pointing to the TB& TPS, but these items are fine as I have installed them in another C32 and no error.

Did u replace the cable harness that attaches to the throttle body?

its the throttle actuator plug on the wiring harness. i have the same issue. it happens then i just clear the code and it drives like new again. they have a TSB for the C55 for this issue but not the C32? kinda dumb but oh well

Try this and see if it helps:

Pull off the cable from the throttle actuator, wait a minute.

Then plug it back in, turn the key to position two, wait a minute then start it.
