Nice

I'm trying to pickup a clean C32 in Queensland Australia..

So hard to find a nice example here with low Km's.. (or miles .. )

I've been doing a lot of research of what to look for. Preferably want an 03 model with low k's..

Any stand out things that I should look for?

regards
Sam

Sam,

Funny, I'm trying to pick up either a C43 or C32 and also located in QLD, Brisbane.

There aren't any C43's up here at all, all in NSW or Vic. There appear to be two C32 in QLD, and one is a '03 model, with about 68K kms. Everything else is '02 and silver, around the 120K km mark.

The '03 one is about $32K? and the '02 models go for about $28K to $30K. Still deciding which to get, since there's only about $6K difference in a C32 and C43. Need to drive a C32 and see how you like it.

The dilemma to get a C43 or C32 has been bugging me for quite some time now.

Do you already own one? What were your impressions?

I seems like there are quite a few things that go wrong with a c32, and if I wanted to tinker with a car as much as a c32 would require I'd get an Evo?

Seems like a NA V8 is more reliable, lower running costs, has better overall build quality, though it can't compare to say a W124.....but seems more solid than a W203.

The C32 is fairly solid and a lot of the issues you have read about should have gone away in the 2003+ models. As for tinkering with the car, I think he meant to say is that you can make the car faster more easily than what you could a C43. Drive both and see which one you like. I think the C43 also had some major issues with the transmission and the A/C leaking behind the dash, both costly repairs, but I could be mistaken with another w202 model.

Hi matey

Yes I have seen the one with 68ks on the clock up at the coast.. seems like a good deal to be honest.

I ended up buying a C32 not long after my previous post. I managed to get a 03 c32.. silver, but with every option and was in perfect cond, with 90000 kms. Has the factory tint, with the factory xenons etc etc.. etc. So happy with it so far.

I have driven a C43 as well, and in terms of NA v8 reliability, I can see where you are coming from but the C43 does not even come close. The quality and drive the C32 provides is fantastic value. Such a good value for money car.
