Blue Wheels. (Pics)
Well, the pictures DO NOT do it justice. It looks absolutely terrible. I was aiming for a much darker blue, almost black and it did not turn out as planned. These things in direct sun light look like the Blue Man Group threw up on them. I did it a couple weeks ago and have not had time to repaint them black...Don't ask why I didn't stop after the first one haha Live and learn I guess.

I like the black or silver. That blue is...well not attractive to put it nicely. ha
Live and learn is correct, ive done the same thing with wheels before...guess if you can do them all maybe you can convince yourself to like them.
The black wheels, were they flat black? What paint did you use for the black wheels? I want to paint mine black but leave a little silver to break it up since my car is black.

You did a very good job painting them and I don't think it looks that bad, they look black in most of the pics and the last one is the only one you can tell is blue. At least you're trying something different.

First of all, I loved the wheels in silver. Second of all, I love your rear spoiler. Could you post a pic of the back of your car. I want to see the badges that you have (black). Thanks!

Hello all....first post...so here goes.
I don't think the wheels look that bad...but I am partial to blue....very partial
If you had some other blue accents I think it would look great.
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of places where blue accents would blend with the body very well, due to the clean lines of the car. Maybe if you just had the outer part of the rim in blue, and the inner star black or silver...hit that spoiler, and if you wanted to go all tuner, paint the hood or the grill. But I am sure that I will be alone on this.
Ok...first post in the books. Nice car either way.

Well, we are human, so making mistakes like this is part of our nature... LOL. God knows I made mistakes too (ask my wife, she reminds me those every day).
Those wheels in silver look really good. Not sure if painting in black will look better that in silver. BTW, what is the brand of those? I'm interested.

yeah the silver did look clean and very classy, however the finish on the wheels wasn't great due to wear and tear. That's why I decided to paint them black originally.
Agreed, black or silver looks best. The black wheels were flat black, which seemed to display better detail and not look cheap as glossy would have. Everyone though I got them powder coated, but I just cleaned them really well, primer, and paint. Preparation is the key to a good paint job. I believe the paint was called trim paint (made for cars, withstands heat and holds very well with the correct primer).
Yep, I know.
if you read the description at the top, I don't like it either haha.
thanks! I had to try it, it didn't turn out as planned but oh well. Probably will go back to black or just buy new wheels. These aren't in very good shape.
agreed
Haha I ask myself the same question every time I walk into the garage.
Thanks for the advice...would have never thought of that. Maybe I'll try it before I start over and go back to black.
Thanks! Got the spoiler off eBay. I'll post a pic later
I know what you're saying. I have all the accents, but they are black (I.e. Badges, spoiler, grill) which looked great with the black wheels.
hahah! If you look at my signature, the wheels are black. I bought the car with the wheels already on it (they were silver), decided to paint them black, then took the black paint off (first pic up there), then went blue. The wheels are TSW Bremma's...says in my signature. They are 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear and are direct bolt ons with stock suspension. I run a 10mm spacer up front to clear my coilovers.

From the pictures...it doesn't look bad! Different but not bad at all.
But your description of the BlueMan group vomming on them IRL, well I can see where that wouldn't be so desirable.
