second longest modifying day ever!
can't believe this single mod took 14+ hrs...i was up since 8am and it was finally done by 12:30am. even more can't believe that I went through with this...
BUT she is now back home tucked in the garage...this is all i could mustard right now...need to crash out. morning hike awaits tomorrow....sigh

SICK FRANK! The FB pics are such a tease, now you need to show us how the door jams came out.
That is probably the best thing to do to a car other than repaint/sell it. Gives it a new breath of life IMO, and just for the fun of it. Guy by me does it for others and says the doorjams/tight areas are the worst thing he has to do.

door jam isn't vinyled. one of the reason i bought the new 3M film is that they stick like a ****. it's wrapped around about 1/4 inch on the panels. saves me a LOT of material and $$...sharing material with couple friends still cost us $400-450 each just on vinyl.

+1 i'd love to do this. i saw this new e350 coupe wrapped in matte blue (i can post pics if you guys want to see how it looks) and i noticed that the areas around the exhaust were peeling off because of the heat. i wonder what frank did about the wrap around the exhaust area.

if you got patience, a heat gun, a sharp knife, and some squeegy I'm sure you can do it, but it won't be as fast as the guy that did mine. especially I didn't remove my mirrors, door handles, trunk spoiler or trims to do this.

I would do a transparent matte finish on my car and my wife's car. That would look awesome. Might need to get a Houston group buy going for this. Just need to find someone experienced enough to help out.

i have seen pics of that sharpie art e90. the word from ppl that seen it in person is that the owner did the vinyl himself and over-stretched them too much, so it started cracking. that's why he sharpie it. very impressive art skill tho.
