Dyno today finally, a little disappointed.

Trap speed?
I only have a stock C55 to go by but looking at your time slips I'd say you are trapping a little on the low side. Going by your 1/8th trap and power mods I would expect to see you trapping 110 - 111mph consistently. Rather than the 109mph you seem to be at. A good "guide" of power is the gain in mph from 1/8 to 1/4. A stock car does well to gain 20mph, some high performance cars can pull 22-23mph. I'd expect your car to be gaining 25mph. You are close to that so all is not bad. By the way the 1/8 - 1/4 trap speed removes the "driver error" as anyone can keep their foot planted on the gas, so its all down to conditions and the car.

Keep in mind that this was my first time ever at a drag strip, so some of the runs I was experimenting with different launch techniques and any of the runs over 12.9x the T/C cut the throttle off the line. One of the guys at work who is big into drag racing said with my speed I should be able to get around the 12.5 area with more practice (and possibly the limited slip should help).

Here is a few of my runs for a comparison.
My car on my best run gained 26mph.
I did have a couple more runs, but one i used the shift paddles, and my time went horrible. Mid 13 at 105. My highest trap was 109 but with a worse 60', so et suffered.
Just curious, are you just leaving it in drive or are you using the paddles?
FYI, i was running without traction control on. With all the cars I have run at the trip, from an Mazdaspeed3, to a 2003 Mustang Cobra, I have always ran slower with it on.

I'm sure I could run 12's at 110mph at Byron, that track is like a Ski jump hill lol, I'm just joking! I run with the traction off in S mode. Tried it with the traction on and it kills the run. I'd like to get below 2.0s for my 60' I could see me running close to 12.9 if I could pull a 1.8s 60' Maybe I'll try it this year. I'll need new rear tires before the summer is done anyway!
I am going to try to make it back to byron this sat. You should come out.
The look of the track is an optical illusion though.

Went to the track again last night, was kinda a last minute thing so no Quaife yet though. I tried it with the traction off for 5 of my 6 runs. First run was the best 12.777 @ 110.35mph. 60' was 2.035 and the 1/8 was 8.308 @ 86.79mph. I also ran a 12.838 @ 110.47 and a 12.827 @ 110.22. The other runs I was just testing different things to try and get a good launch. I'm going to get the Quaife in before the next time, the car likes to try and slide the rear end around when spinning tires so I should be able to get a much better burnout and launch. Finally verified the part numbers for the bearings so I'm going to order those this weekend.

I had thought about lowering my tire pressure, but I had no way to raise it back up after. I guess I could have gone to a gas station or something after. My buddy with the Cobalt SS lowered his slicks to 15psi and managed a 13.5 @ 110 (which is his best so far)!

I figured I would update this rather than start a new thread just for this. I've got the Kleemann headers on and the rest of the exhaust complete (see here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...aust-done.html). I haven't been back to the dyno, but I managed to get out to the drag strip last Friday for the last test and tune night of the year and I'm pretty happy with the result! This was the first run. Every subsequent run was a hair slower than the last, they weren't prepping the track at all as the night went on. I had so much rubber stuck to my front tires and all in the wheel wells after the night was over. What a PITA to clean... Anyway, here's the time slip of that run. This is with Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II tires in 245/40/18 on the stock C55 wheels. These tires actually cost me 2mph when I put them on due to the taller size but I couldn't find any 18" drag tires that were in the stock size.
Left is me and right is my buddy in the Cobalt SS.

You trapped 114 on street tires? Not bad at all honestly, but I doubt you'd still touch 400whp. My E55 had 429whp stock and it trapped 114mph while weighing 400lbs more and having longer gearing. I think maybe 380whp tops which isn't bad really, it IS a measly MP112 after all.
On my friends car I'm looking to touch 400whp but that's with a smaller pulley and lower compression ( more timing ) and he has the same exhaust setup you have.

I didn't run street tires with the new exhaust, it's pointless because it won't hook. I was trapping 110 before the exhaust on my street tires and it dropped to 108 after the taller tires. I put down 365hp at the wheels before the exhaust.

Dyno it and find out, but I doubt it'll touch 400whp.
Regardless, it's a quick as hell car. Enjoy it.

It better be at least 400whp or I will be VERY unhappy. I've already regretted buying this car and doing all this to it on a few occasions. I'm worried that it's going to nicke and dime to to death now. I just spent $200 for a belt tensioner to fix the rattle/squeaking it was making. My valve cover gaskets are leaking again. The heat exchanger I just noticed is leaking a few days ago. And I still have to tighten the fuel block banjo bolt on the secondary fuel pump under the hood every few weeks or it starts leaking fuel! What next?
