Exhaust Is Done!

I finally got my Kleemann headers on a few weeks ago and I just got the car back yesterday from having the rest of the exhaust completely redone in stainless steel. I used Random Technologies 3" 100 cell cats so now I'm emission compliant. It took them quite a bit of work to get the 2.5" pipe around the differential since I didn't want to replace the sway bar again for one with space for an exhaust pipe to go on the right side of the differential, too. I'm really happy with how it turned out, not only does it look great but it's all 2.5" from the headers to the mufflers and not cut up where the secondary cats and resonator were. It actually has a deeper tone and is quieter than it did with just the headers and no cats. I liked it louder, but oh well. They also told me the way the system is now, it probably weighs about 50lbs. less than what was there before.

I think that spot on the transmission wouldn't clean off. I've already done a transmission service so it had a new pan gasket then and I've been keeping an eye on the connector/bushing since I don't think it's been replaced before.

I forgot I had taken these, so here's some before pictures:

Looks really good? What sway bars and shocks do you have?

The front sway bar is H&R and the rear is Eibach. The shocks and springs I bought used and were told they came from Renntech. They lowered the car a little less than an inch. The shocks are made by Sachs if I remember correctly.

Clean install, looks great Any chance you will be doing any vids? I'm curious how much the 100-cells effect the sound since we have essentially the same setup aside from the cats...

That looks amazing! How much did the installation and stainless system cost?

I'm interested to see if you'll actually be able to get that rear sway out if you needed. That's the only thing holding me back to be honest since if I do ever plan on selling my car, i plan on selling my eibach separately...I mean there is barely any room up there but only time will tell

Dangg!! The rear section of your exhaust looks amazing. Great work getting two pipes under that rear sway bar section! Sound clips asap!

Why is it so much lighter, I would think with adding double the piping it would be heavier. Also, what do your cats look like, I'm assuming they were installed in the same place as factory? Every thing looks great by the way. This is how I'm doing my exhaust when I do it.

The sway bar doesn't come out with the stock exhaust anyway. You have to drop down the rear of the exhaust to get the sway bar out.

I think the factory pipe might be much thicker. You can see the cats in the first picture and the second to last picture, they're welded to the ends of the down pipes.

I'm going to see if I can get a good sound clip over the weekend, so if I do I'll post it up.

I may have to go this route with my c43. car should also have more midrange and topend. Love the elimination of the Y pipe to X pipe and dualies to the rear.

Not the best video, but it's all I could get. I don't have a GoPro.

great looking exhaust, i was wonderring if you could cut out the original inputs to the mufflers and stuff 2 1/4" pipes, you proved that possible.

It's actually 2.5" pipe!
