Replacing c55 ballast with an aftermarket kit

So i went to ddm tuning to get a 35w slimline ballast kit 6k for around $65. The reason i did this is #1 cheaper, #2 the thing that holds my d2s bulb cracked. I just painfully took out one of the headlights and since it is too dark i will complete the other side in the morning. I know im going to need to splice the kit since it is not plug and play but im wondering where will i splice it to. Since the oem ballast is shot, should i leave it in or take it out? I got tonight to think about a lot of stuff, i have faith in my fellow amg owners to throw me some advice. Thank you for reading.

Well i got a full setup with hid bulbs for $65, its just not plug and play. I'm just figuring out where it would be approprite to splice the wires to power the ballast kit.

Ok well GL I was going to get you the ballast I have for next to nothing like $40.
The Splicing is not something I would want to do to my headlight or wiring harness. You could open the light and have really good access to the wiring inside the light and then just drill out a hold of the bottom to run you wires to the new ballast (seal the hole of course) or you could go through the rear cover like many do but you will loose the OEM look.

I understand but the ballasts are a rare issue the ballasts usually go as well as the bulbs.
Its not a normal thing to do. You will need to find a wiring pin out for the connector or like I said just go to the plug on the bottom of the light.
