Dyno Mode, P0730 Code
When I'm in dyno mode on the skid pad at the track, I get a P0730 code. The car drives and shifts normally otherwise with full ESP or the ESP off position. Manual mode and summer / winter work normally too.
The transmission has had a partial fluid change when the filter was changed, the leaky o ring replaced, and the transmission oil level has been checked several times. ( I have the dipstick and an infrared themometer)
Car has 96K km or 60K miles on it.
I'm thinking that the conductor plate is going out and might need to have a Mercedes Star Diagostics to dig into the codes I can't see with my OBDII scanner.
Any ideas or suggestions? I'm getting the car ready for this year's track sessions and would like to get to the bottom of this.
TIA,
Wayne

why are you driving in dyno mode? that's used for the dyno, and if you try to drive through the gears it will throw a code. It should also lock you in 4th gear. at least on the c55

I'll stick with driving with ESP in the off position then.

I had a similar experience to this. I knew my trans was in need of a flush at 125k miles and I was messing around in dyno mode. Took it out of it and as soon as I brought it back it went into soft Limp Mode (locked in 4th).
Reset it with an OBDII Scanner and it was ok. It would occasionally do this again though. Regardless, ended up needing a new Conductor plate, did the Trans Flush in the process. May want to consider this, did it myself. Amazing the confidence Youtube videos can give you :-)

I seem to remember my car setting that DTC at the drag strip one time. I cleared it and it never came back in the year I owned it after that. I think it's just the launch. I used dyno mode most of the time for the 1/4 mile also.
