Dear all,

My aftermarket amp wiring were ready. Will mount it tonight. however I found there there is no Fuse7 in the rear SAM. Should I add one by myself to connect the remote wire ?

Thanks

Find out if you actually need it not all slots are in use on some fuse boxes.

There is no fuse there anyway. I put one in only so I could wedge the remote wire in with it. Also if there is ever a short circuit, the fuse will break it if you put it in the right place.

Ok, so the RHS or LHS of the fuse is correct side for protection !?

Thanks !

Think of a fuse as a wire. There is no correct side, LOL...

From what I understand, when you wire #7.... It has two holes for the fuse, one is +12 obviously the other has nothing since it is not used. If you jam the wire in the +12V side the fuse cannot protect the circuit. If you ram the wire into the unused doing nothing side then the fuse will now be in the circuit. Hope this makes sense and no I cannot remember which side is which.

I figured since the fuse slot is unused no wiring is presently connected, and he was planning on using it to complete a protected circuit. Basically jamming a wire on both leads as you push it in.
