Help!!! SC making weird noise

My SC has recently started making this weird clicking noise can anyone tell me what this is. Its not my SC bearing because I just replaced it and I can clearly tell that its not coming from the bearing. I've arranged a video and y the noise starts about five seconds in. thanks for any help!

Are you positive its coming from the S.C.? I would check all other pulleys. If it is the unit, there are also internal bearings for the rotors. Hopefully its an easy fix for you.

Do you have a aftermarket SC pulley and stock sized belt?

I have the gatorback belt and I have a larger Idler pulley to compensate but even before that it never made this sort of noise.

I have a clicking noise but it is not from the SC, mine is coming from the little solenoid pump on the drivers front fender, you might feel of it and make sure that is not your sorce.

I've never heard a sound like that from my supercharger, sounds like something is loose and hitting up against the housing. The supercharger itself sounds normal other than that rattling sound. If you're absolutely sure it's coming from the supercharger, I would take it apart and inspect the rotors. Make sure to have some fluid for the supercharger. I just can't see anything inside the supercharger coming loose and causing that sounds, maybe a bad bearing. Sounds like there's something metal tapping on something hollow.

I know i'm really thinking its the clutch though because if it was in the housing it would've been sucked into the engine already don't you think? It also only happens when the SC isn't engaged at low RPMs which also makes me think its the clutch but I have no idea how to take it apart or replace it.

Juan, didn't you have the code3 pulley fixed? Maybe something is going on with the pulley again. If you have the oem one, change it out to see if it goes back to normal. Check out this thread: http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/...-listen-2.html

Are the washer pins inserted into their respected holes and the pulley torqued to the correct pressure? It sort of sounds like the noised the pulley makes when I'm pulling on it trying to take it off and there's just a little slack.

That is actually the noise I had before fixing the pulley but this sound is much different and it only happens when at about 600 rpm and goes away at anything above that.

Yes everything is nice and tight which is why I'm so perplexed about the whole thing.

Even so the belt could have stretched. Just to be sure push on the tensioner pulley in the direction it goes to tightened the belt and make sure it is not bottoming out. I know they make a tapping noise at idle and on decelling revs but not when revved up.

Its surely not the belt or tensioner the sound is coming from the SC area 100%

Glad I got rid of my C32. All these problems that come out of no where... See if you can duplicate the sound by moving S/C pulley around. I want to say the pulley has a wobble and it's making contact with the clutch, but don't know.

Maybe your brake pads are at the limit or slightly beyond. You might just need a brake job. Cut or replace rotors, new pads, maybe replace brake fluid if over 2 years old. Don't get a cheap brake job. You'll regret it.

Ok so...I took the SC pulley off and put in a couple more spacers and no dice. So then I disconnected the SC clutch by the plug on the side and the noise stopped which also turned off the SC but now the noise is gone and everything works. Lol these cars are crazy and temperamental but I love them!

So then, did you fix it or did you just find a temporary solution until you find the actual problem?

You were not very specific... I'm going to assume you ended up reconnecting the clutch and sound is gone. If not doesn't seem like a solution not having a supercharger, LOL. Maybe the wiring was tapping the clutch or something?
