C55 oil level sensor

Has anyone else had issues with their c55's oil level sensor? I've already replaced mine (at 92k miles) and still have the same problem. It tells me to add a quart almost every week. Although I have a minor oil leak (valve cover gasket) I know that it's impossible for the car to be eating/draining that much oil, and that it has to be the sensor. The only thing that confuses me is that I've already replaced it recently. Anyone else had this problem?

You should check it manually with a dip stick. You have to either get a dipstick tool or something that works the same. There is a chart on here that will say how far up to measure on the tool and see what the oil level is. I used an old transmission dipstick from a GM that is long and flexible enough to reach the bottom.

Never heard of this issue and I've been trolling this board for years. What does the dealer have to say?

This happens k-7k miles after an oil change, this is when I usually change the oil any ways. C55's do burn a bit of oil, but it can't be that much. Are you putting in 8 quarts or 8.5 quarts?

I put in 9 quarts, and it burns about a quart every 4-5k
