C32 AMG
Tim: We are looking at raising rev limiter. It is actually hidden in transmission software. I will post the results as allways.

Hi Vadim,

I understand how the SL55 splitter brings a bit more power to the engine. However could you explain what you mean by

4. Custom 8 mm Plug Wires – more info to follow

and how it brings more power ??

Thx

Bart

Thanks Ben for posting the dyno. Is the software still being tested or is it final??? Also, is it CARB certified?? Looks like a good gain of about 20hp given the pulley is about 30hp.

Thanks!

C32 AMG
bverotti: 8mm refers to the thickness of wire insulation. We just had them made simply because a stock set of wires from MB was over $400. I am not 100% sure on power gains yet. We will be doing more testing next week.

amgme: The software has been finalized. CARB number will be issued very shortly.

There is always two sides to every story... I asked Renntech about this. They said that a year or so ago they did call Evosport but became wary when Evosport didn't want to meet at their shop but at a hotel in downtown, LA. Renntech felt that Evosport was hiding the fact that they didn't have a shop and therefore said no thanks and that was it.

LOL - Total 100% fabrication as we simply said "NO Thank You" and nothing more!

LOL. I love it. This has NOW gotten very interesting! LOL. I really hope they bring out their C32 this year to CEC's EuroTuner Challenge!

Thanks

That's ridiculous as Evosport does have a shop and a minimum amount of due diligence would have confirmed that fact.

Did you get a chance to ask them about goalie_k's actions on MBWorld?

I have no idea who goalie_k is or if he has anything to do with Renntech or not. I've read his posts on this threads but that's all.

Brad-

What cars are you taking this year? In the past I had to go under the disguise of another company as CEC would not allow me to enter the event- the same is still true this year.

Does someone want to drive my E50K???

Simon, Brad??

Brandon,

Sure I would love to. However, I think that CEC has cancelled it this year. If not, I will drive it for you.

Thanks

Brad.

2002 C-32 AMG Renntech
welcome to last week

Sorry to dredge this from the past but I was researching headers and thought this was pretty funny.

I have no idea what transpired between these two shops, kind of reminds me of Tupac and Biggie :p

I can say that I have been impressed with Renntech's professionalism in my dealings with them in person...

When you get into tunging cars though there is alsways going to be the odd mishap, for any tuner. I've learned this over time have gone through a number of sc'ed and turbo vehicles. The best you can do is develop a solid relationship with someone based on how they react when it goes bad, as well as when it goes right.

any way... those headers look pretty sweet
