High Revving Start Up Issue
Hey all,
So the following has only happened twice but I figured I would ask to see if anyone else is or has had this problem, if it even is a problem.
So, I go turn on my car in the morning and it turns on immediately but the motor revs to 2.5k and then goes back down after 3 or so seconds. It's almost as if I started the car with my foot on the gas but I didn't.
Another problem I am having is when I get home from work or wherever and I put the car in park, the motor will rev up slightly and then back down if I put it in reverse.
I'm not sure what the problem is.
In case this helps, my mods are Eurocharged ECU, TCU, and SC pulley.
Thanks for the help in advance.

My C55 does exactly the same mate, dont think it is anything to worry about!
I presume the revs dropping when selecting reverse is just the engine loading up the gearbox.
Either way mine does both of what you have described.

I experienced the same thing last year and my issue was related to throttle body harness. It would get worse overtime and gave out esp not available warning along with no throttle response. It is pretty common with c32s, the solution is to ziptie the cable and clean the connection.
The symptoms would come back sometimes and it wasn't until when I replaced my ic and gave throttle body and sc assembly a thorough cleaning that it stopped.

If the engine is cold, it's supposed to rev up when you first start it, and then come down to normal after 10-15 seconds. As for the RPM dropping when you put it into reverse, this is also normal. It will do the same thing when put into drive as well.

Mine never revs to 2.5k rpm on cold start until the connector/tb assembly got loose/dirty/etc.
After I took the tb apart and cleaned it, it only revs to 1.5k on cold start, which is normal.
Good luck!
