Random beep
I've got a really annoying beeping sound coming from inside the car at intervals of 30-60 seconds and can't figure out what it could be.
There are no warning lights or messages and everything (appears) to be working correctly.
Can anyone make any suggestions as to what could be abusing it?
Thanks

Hope this helps: but you will need to get your car hooked up to star regardless.

Thanks Macbryanie,
It's not like a warning tone, it's more like a very short chirp.
I haven't been able to isolate where it comes from yet, but I'm pretty sure it's in the cabin somewhere.
(Lol @ iPad changing "causing" to "abusing" in my original post - I type too fast for a touch screen and iOS makes some interesting guesses to fill the gaps.)
P.S. I see you are in Sunny Melbourne as well?
Where do you look after your car for this sort of thing? I've been going to MB Kings Way. Service is great, but some charges are ridiculously high.

Thanks Jon.
I'll get it checked.
Is there an easy way to set off the alarm and try it?
I also noticed that the alarm de-activate buttons don't light up when pressed?
(The buttons on the dash with the picture of the car being towed and the movement sensor.)
Could this indicate a larger problem with the alarm?
I'll get it checked.

Not sure about the lights issue, I never really looked at them before. You should just find someone with a SDS or take it to the dealer. The SDS will likely show the issues even with no check engine lights, It did for me. I honestly just cut the wire to the siren for now.

My c32 was doing that also and driving me crazy. I have a cassette with an auxiliary cord coming out of it and the noise was the stereo telling me that the cassette door was open because it wasn't closing enough with the cord sticking out of it. I repositioned the cord and reclosed the cassette door and the noise went away. It was very annoying, no check engine light and a scantool didn't pickup any weird sensor or controls module faults.
