C55 Oil Change Drain plug issue?

So I recently took my car over to a trusted Mercedes maintenance shop in the south Chicago suburbs to do a trans service and oil change. When they were trying to do the oil change they said that the drain plug was unusually tight and that they can see little specs of debris when they removed the plug a little bit. So now I have 80% chance of everything being fine and 20% of the threading being screwed up and causing the plug to not come out as easy.

I usually do the suction method but this company uses the drain plug, which I prefer.

Any experiences with your drain plugs being hard to get off, like mine? Is it because it has not been taken out in a while (25K+ miles)?

My drain plugs were really tight the first time. I needed a breaker bar on them, something that should not have been necessary. Apparently ANG uses one gorilla-one engine for our cars.

Thats a relief.... they just gave me a bad feeling of possibly having to replace the whole oil pan if the threading was messed up.

Just this past weekend I was about to attempt my first oil change in the C55, only to find out the rearward facing bolt would not budge - even with a pipe over the wrench. I've admitted defeat and will probably take it to the dealer. Can't understand why these bolts are on so tight.....I got the forward one loose, but the rear just won't budge, and I'm too scared of stripping the head....

Was reading up some older posts, and I came across one of mine own responses to which I'm surprised I didn't follow up on. (Post above ).

I did re-visit that stubborn rearward-facing oil pan drain bolt, and got it off with a breaker bar. It was on that hard.

Mine were insanely tight the first time I changed the oil. After that they came out much easier.

I thought I was the only one. I tried to do an oil change myself for the first time on this car and both bolts wouldn't budge. I ended up returning all of the oil then taking it to the dealer just to spend the extra $$$. They must have tightened them super tight for a reason. I was all excited to do the oil change too since I've been doing them on my W202 C280.
