Please help. Need new brake rotors
I need new brake rotors for the front and there are nice deals on ebay but their shipping cost more than the parts which is ridiculous. Does anyone know where I can get rotors for a good price that will ship to South Africa for a decent price. Thanks

I don't know about shipping to South Africa, but after a bad set of slotted rotors I took a gamble with Centrix rotors from partsgeek.com
They had excellent shipping prices to California and I received my rotors within a week. The Centrix rotors themselves are quite good quality for the money. I hope partsgeek.com can help you with shipping to South Africa!

No, I see partsgeek do not ship internationally. I know they charge almost 400 bucks in your money for shipping, and that's the price of a new set at the dealer here. Cant they ship it in a container filled with helium and make it cheaper.lol
I'll found out about the zimmermans but I doubt it. Guess im going to have to go with the steeler for this one. Ordered a set of posi ceramic (still waiting)and the shipping was worth it, saved a lot more than what I would've paid at the dealer.

Being from a similar situation, ie. non American, I feel your pain. Auto parts in the US are substantially cheaper than in Canada. Not all the time, but certainly probably 95% of the time. There's a whole war of words going on about price disparity between items in the US and Canada, everything from aspirin to auto parts to electronics. Tires are a big one too. Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of US based wholesalers will ship overseas. And if they do - well, the shipping and customs kills any savings. Unfortunately, there are times when bullets must be eaten, unless you can afford to wait or travel. No point in buying cheap Chinese made stuff though.
The front rotors from the dealer aren't too bad, relatively speaking. The rears are pretty cheap because they show up on so many other cars too. On my C43, OE two piece front rotors were in the region of C$350+ each, and that was a good price.

I put these on when I had my 2006 C230 and they are awesome quality. They are definitely a little pricey but I loved 'em.

When ebay and amazon fail me usually *mbpartsworld is cheaper than the local dealer. But again the shipping would really bite deep with rotors.

Hey Zayed, thanks but I already ordered from the dealer today (they win again)
But anyway, I see the OEM rotors have like a primer coating on them? I want to paint them silver or black so they don't rust like the ones that are on the car now. Is there a special high heat paint to use? What is best?

Thanks Zayed, the guy sais the diameter is 350mm and he bought it for his clk 55 53 plate? What is a 53 plate? So is that the right type/size?

AFAIK, MB uses 350mm for CL/S/ML/R, but i don't think CLK comes with 350mm..!,
i don't know what he mean by 53 plate..?!,
i prefer if he send some photos of his Rotors, it will helps to identify what he got...
