Hi all C32 owners, i'm a newbie in this forum and nice to meet you all. I've ordered a 2004 C32 and the car will arrive at the end of october. Now i heard some of you said that the C55 is coming to N. America. Is it ture? Is it a replace model of C32? Please help me out, thankyou.

Which dealership did you order the car? As of last week, MB Canada knows nothing about C55. I think its almost certain that if it does come to NA, it will be a '05 car. You have to wait at least 1 year for the 55 (if they ever come). Someone told me there is a used '03 in Richmond with 9000km, maybe you can get that and wait for the 55!!

I ordered the car from broadway benz a few weeks ago. There's a black used C32 in the richmond automall 2 weeks ago but it was sold. The only thing i'm afraid is that i get my C32 at Octorber and the C55 come out after 0.5 year.

Harris, what color is your car? I will say hi to you next time when i see you on the road.

When you placed your order, did they have a clear picture of what the options would be? I tried to order an '03 in April (or may ..hmm) and it got bumped out to be an '04. The original ship date was supposed to be August, and now it coincides with what your dealer has told you, October.

My belief is even we're going to get a C55, MBUSA or MBCanada will not make the announcement until this time next year. If they tell you that we're going to have a C55 now, I think the sales of the C32 will fall sharply. Nobody will buy a C32.

Yes and no ..

Every time I get onto the freeway, or head down some back road, it drives me nuts.

I figure this is something I really want, and it's going to be exactly the way I want it. If it were a G35, S60, or 9-5, I probably wouldn't be so picky and just take it 'as is', so to speak.

Also, as I will be leasing the car through my company, I want to make sure I am getting the most bang for my buck. A leased '03 at the end of it's MY will have a much lower residual value than it had at the beginning of it's MY (generally speaking). Therefore, My04 kind of made sense.

I have to tell you though, I'm a little dissapointed that keyless-go may not make it to MY04. all that wait for probably no noticeable difference (other than a different plastic compound used on the air conditioning vents or something insignificant like that).

I should stop by the MB dealer up where I'm at this week in Thousand Oaks and see how much longer they can let a car depreciate on their lot! I drive by the Porche dealer every day, and you can see scores of dusty vehicles depreciating with no owner. That's gotta be a tough break.

If you want to get one, then just get the C32 now and not wait for the C55. It may or may not even come to the U.S. Besides, when that time comes the 2006 (or is it 2007) C32 model change will be coming too. So no matter what you do, there's always that change down the road. Might as well enjoy it now.

I visited the Porsche dealer over in Miramar. Porsches have a lot more options than Mercedes, but a wide variety of cars are available with great discounts. I imagine a similar situation exists with off the lot C32s. As you mentioned, it is hard to get the exact color combo + options that you wish.

has that same C32 sitting on their lot? Man oh man they need to sell that car! They have had a CL660 bi-turbo coupe there for months now...someone please buy that car! It’s a base CL600 and clearly no one wants it. Make them and offer and see what they say on that C32! I bet you can steal it from them at a heck of a deal. They are ready to deal on 03's and you will save a good amount of money.

I remember they had a black C32 for 3 months once. They kept trying to pressure me into buying it (not one option on it). I was just waiting for my car to show up and wanted to see a C32 once in a while. I did not buy it though. I dont want another black car. LOL

Good luck. I don't see any C55 in the states for a long time. It’s not even on the model year 05 paper work yet.

As for those Silverstar dealerships in Westlake having a ton of cars out getting dusty...you need a ton of inventory when you sell a ton of cars. If they had no inventory, what would they deliver to customers? All dealerships do this but some just don't have the space to park their cars underground. Most dealerships just go and rent vacant lots, under freeway overpass space, old parking garages, or unused parking lots and park their new car inventory there!

A placed me order 3 weeks ago and the dealer told be the C32 will be september production. So your car is probably september pruduction as well.:p I don't have the clear picture of 04 model but benz dealer said they may upgrade the bose sound system in 04 model.

Yes, you are right, i totally agree.
The only thing is that i need to think twice btw buying the C32 or the C55. I think i won't feel happy seeing the C55 on the street after i drive the C32 for just 0.5year.

I'm personally indifferent when it comes to a NA 8cyl vs. blown 6. The only thing I'd kick myself in the rear for would be short changing myself on the 7 speed.

I should swing by and check it out .. I recall them saying they had two or three on the lot the last time I called and checked.. of course, none of which had charcoal/blue interior. I suppose the ultimate sleeper would have charcoal/charcoal .. hmm. I doubt they would make any serious cuts .. but ya never know.

It's hard to believe that in this economy that those dust-laden cars are moving very far. It's the same cars I tell you .. the dust just keeps piling on

About a month ago we dealt on a fully loaded C32 MY03 New, for 250 over invoice. they wanted to get it off the lot. so cant wait . we pick it up on friday.

Man, I had to search for 3 months to find a new or used C32 with any options- A dealer an hour away, found one about 15 hours away and flat bedded it down for me. You guys are watching them get dirty... Nice- as a matter of fact, I have only seen two C32 s ever. Three if you count mine. Get the car, it is awesome!!!

I was told the one in Richmond is still there. Maybe you should take a look at that. Seems like you have some doubt, its never a good thing to buy something with doubts.
