Change foam in seat?
My car will soon be passing 180 000 km and the drivers seat isn't as good and comfy as it used to be. If I understand things correctly it's possible to get the "foam" from MB. Can it be a good idea to change this? Has anyone done it and is it a pretty straight forward thing to do it? Or do you think that I'll have to change the springs (or what ever it is called the metal under the seats) as well?

I changed the drivers side seat cover and foam on 2004 clk55 Amg last month, and it was doable with normal tools except one step.
The seat cover is held to metal reinforcement rods in the foam cushion with plastic clips. You will need a long slender tool to press into the cushion and attach the little clips. I happened to have a similar tool used for latching jetski battery straps, and that got the job done.
I also had to drill out some rivets that hold the air bladder switches to get the cover off, so plan on installing new rivets.
If any of this makes you cringe, you could get an upholstery shop to install the foam. The foam was very cheap for Amg from online parts dot com.

Comfort and looks improved.
I got my 04clk55 w 20k miles and lower drivers seat cushion was smashed like a pancake....... I suspect orig owner was very dense or lg mass or both.
Take your time when doing this, pull the seat and work on it on a clean area. You have to be gentle with all the plastic parts.
I broke the plastic seat track veneers when putting the seat back in..... They are cheap to replace but still bugged me. Gl
Air hose easy to disconnect. Reconn.
