Nav DVD read error...Dealer says its probably my nav processor ($1275 fix)

Nav DVD read error...Dealer says its probably my nav processor ($1275 fix)
I bought a 2011 nav disc off ebay about 2 months ago and it has been great. Then all of the sudden last week my navi started saying it can't read the disc, check the dvd. There are no scratches or marks on the dvd however there is what appears to be heat damage in the form of a wavy ring around the center of the disc...
I did a search but come up short, anyone else experience this or know the part number for the Nav processor...Dealer said it goes in the trunk but all the stuff on the forum I've found says its built into the head unit.

lol oh ya trust me I won't be getting the dealer to install this when I can buy a used comand for just over half that, or find the part wholesale and install it myself!

oh no, but i didnt want to spend $250 on a 2012 disc, or another $100 on a 2011 disc from ebay you know...its $127 alone just to diagnose whats wrong...but i got my hands on a 2012 disc for free and i loaded right up, so hopefully that means it was just a crappy disc that i got from eBay...
