Should I be able to run COMAND without a key in the ignition?
It doesn't turn on by just opening the door, but I noticed the dvd processor was running, so i decided to hit the power button to see what would happened and it turned on and started playing music and the nav was running...is this normal?
I had my battery die this weekend randomly after sitting for 2 days straight w/o running so I might be jumping the gun with this one but I'm trying to find the source!

Yes, this is a feature that is also on the C32 and I use it often. If I recall correctly, it automatically turns off after 15 minutes or so to conserve the battery.

lol ok sweet, i never noticed it as possible on my c230 since it didnt have built in nav and thus no dvd drive, so i wasn't sure...good to know thanks guys for the quick response
