So we can basically just plasti dip over the emblem itself and not worry about much right? You just peel off the excess b/c it forms a crease where the emblem attaches to the body?

Slightly off topic, My door pillars are faded and starting to rust. Any suggestions on whether to paint, plastic dip or wrap? Varoom, could you take a close up of your door pillars? I am trying to return them to the stock faux carbon fiber look if I can.

Just a small word of warning...I plasti dipped my badges and grill a few months ago...looked awesome but after a while the finish started to shrink and crack...Personally I think it was because of the cold weather we had,but it's got to the point where I'm going to remove the grill and spray it the traditional way....

I finally took pictures of the 3m "carbon fiber" door pillar stickers, a vast improvement for $29 over my rusted and faded factory fake carbon fiber door pillars. The went on flawlessly. They have a matte finish instead of the factory gloss.

You had a fake cf door pillar from the factory?

I should have taken before pictures, it was the printed grey cf pattern that matched the consol and door trim. Maybe that was an addition? It looked original but was very faded or buffed off.

I am willing to bet that was from the factory, the C43's came with the exact same thing. I hate it, some people love it. I have managed to buff out the faux carbon fiber so now it looks like 040 black like the rest of my car.

P.S. the OP's car LOOKS AMAZING with the rims powder coated black

Yeah I agree I would have just buffed it off however the big rust bubbles required pillar cover replacement

I'm willing to bet it isn't. My 36 had it. My 32 doesn't.

Not that I like it but mine has it,and every 32 that I have seen (in AU) has the checker cf ugly pillars. It must be a regional thing.
My steering wheel is in the 'right' spot too.
