Cheap n cheerful mod!

One can of plasti dip and some masking tape.

Looks better than chrome I reckon!

With Plastidip, you just spray all around it, then when it dries, you use an exacto knife and cut round the emblem and peel off the excess.

The parts you are changing to black on your silver C32 is accenting/highlighting some of its features so no I don't think it looks odd.
