Quad exhaust on an SLK32, any issues make it a bad idea...

Posted this on mbnz.org/r170 as well but also interested in any info here.

Assume that the tirefit kit can be modified, the resonator removed, run the left side exhaust pipe to the existing muffler, install another AMG muffler on the right side with AMG exhaust tips and run the right side exhaust pipe to the new muffler. Basically going for a stock SL55 look.

I would think that back pressure would be reduced quite a bit, with each muffler only handling 3 cylinders each instead of 1 handling all six. From previous posts about removing the resonator on mbnz.org/r170 I gathered that less back pressure on a SC motor was a good thing. Correct?

Any one see any performance issue.

I'm going to a shop next Wednesday to get an estimate.

yup qouted from an audi board

"yes any forced induction motor you want as little backpressure as possible. You tend to lose a bit of torque down low, but it's more then compensated for in the upper RPMS."

im going to open up my exhaust also
