Honestly,, i have no answer to that question *lol*
I have built whole system myself.
therefor a LOT cheaper than bolt-on stuff.

The only answer i got is: my car really pulls hard now!!

Well, with a budget of $1k I would remove the resonator and secondaries and then save for headers. You can build/have built a header back complete system for a grand, but those big name headers you mentioned are pricey.
Most importantly: Don't forget to set aside money for a tune to go with any significant exhaust mods...

Now guys,, performance logged byt Gtech Pro.

0-60mph crappy 5.1s
1/4mile 12.6s
60ft 2.3s
trapspeed 117.3Mph

What to see from this,, real good trapspeed but no traction(expected thou)

20" rims with 285´s doesn´t bite too good *lol*

And NO Ecu tune yet!
Camshafts,Pulleys and a tune would break it into 120Mph area i guess.

Mods:
Ported heads by me with backcut on valves etc etc etc, i can take orders of this.
Homemade longtube headers, stainless steel and 42mm pipes with mergecollectors magnaflow 200cell cats
Fully new exhaust singlepipe underneeth like std, but 3" all the way to the diff, then two 2.5" pipes again.
Ported inlet mainfold
grinded axle in throttlebody
Ported 'elbow', added epoxi to smooth it a bit.
No mesh in airmassmeter
New airfiltersystem with two simota CAI filters.
Bigger tubes to front with new 'funnels' to not get restrictive.

What are the data´s on 'PTE' camshafts?
I found these here in EU, easier to buy for me:

a 'teaser' what might be happing this winter:
No measurements taken, just a quick drawin in my simple cad/cam to let it 'grow' in mind.

this intake with 82mm throttlebody and airmeter to match with my airfiltersetup.
Camshafts and pulleys.
Could it make nearby of 500hp? no supercharger!

363.5hp at the wheels.
No Ecu tune yet.
Fuel is adapting really well, checked through OBD port.. max 4.7% adjust.
But will tune it later on, probably in the coming spring, maybe maybe this fall.

I PROMISE guys.. car will not be run like this, i just wanted to share the sound.
the phone microphone distorts even thou i closed the door *lol*

The smoke is exhaustwrap that hasn´t been run earlier, all is new.

Setup:
ported and polished intake, modified throttle, modified elbow, ported and polished heads, homemade headers with real merge collectors.

I´m in search for Dbilas/Kleemann camshafts, if someone got a couple layin´around for N/A engine and want to sell them, let me hear from you.

Reason why i started with no exhaust: i wanted to blow out possible dirt(metal shavings etc etc) before mounting the cats.

Rgds.
I don't know if this would help but, since you are truly mechanically skilled, I have a set of stock C55 Camshafts (60k on them) that you could modify. Willing to trade for a copy of your CAI system, or ....
Let me know.

No dynopaper yet..
I reminded him last sunday when dynoed again, now with 'cleaned' ecu.
Still not remapped.
A bit colder air and no compensations stored in ecu it gave a couple of more.
Almost 10 more actually.
372.1 at 6048rpm
Estimated enginepower 442hp and 602Nm.
Now when engine runs this good, i´m about to sign up for a custom mapping of ecu.
I might gain a couple more, and keep those i got when resetting the ecu.

almost 114mph trapspeed at 1/4 mile(gtech pro)
Still with a lot of 'ICE' in boot.
but take it with a pinch of salt,, is still Gtech, no actual timeslip.

you gained about 80ehp and that equated to almost exactly the equivalent in WHP? That doesn't sound right to me...It should be less linear I would think (EHP growing more than WHP)

estimated enginepower is just that.. estimated.
I dunno at all what power the engine produces, we never produced any 'rollout test' as the dyno is dynapack.
I took ~70 hp and added it to rear axle power.

Yeah the exhaust performs really as expected, done alot of NA tuning earlier in the years.
And almost always it turns out that one shouldn´t increase areas too much.
When slamming the throttle and letting it rev to limiter it almost has an nascar tone
And it wasn´t that expensive either.
All in all it costed me complete with headers, mufflers, cat´s, pipes, v-band clamps around 1250-1300 US dollars.

Rgds.

No not yet, i have just enjoyed the car this summer.
I will buy those this winter to have a nice boost of enjoyment next summer

Cams, another mod of inlet and a remap.. i might be sniffing at 500hp at flywheel.
I´m a bit curios thou, about the injectors.
How far they will cope.
In an supercharger setup they would run out of steam.
But one does nto have to run an NA engine as rich as an SC engine.

I also looking at quaife diff and slicks at rear to get the power to the ground.
As it is now the car is actually slower than std to 60mph with tractioncontrol activated.
And without i have to throttle it carefully to reach under 5s, i have once managed 4.4s
Even a blind chicken.....
even without the std tractioncontrol restrics the engine.
1st gear... WAAAAA!!!!! smoking tires and then some.....
2nd gear... NO POWER WHAT SO EVER!!!! just really lame,, like a dog with it´s tail between the legs running home to mom.

If i 'clean' the ecu´s or run in dynomode.
1st WAAAAAAAA
2nd WAAAAAAAA
3rd WAAAaaaaaaa.....

You have to get some slicks! Using the #s from my best 1/4 run and the calculator here...
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...alculator.html

I come out to 0-60 in 3.81 seconds...the theoretical 1/8th trap speed from the equation is dead on @ 91mph (91.03 actual). If I end up doing the T/C and/or gear swaps... TCU tune will probably happen Sunday @ the Eurocharged DC open house.

You're making the same power as me so you should see similar results with traction

LOVE the idea of the custom manifold, can't wait to see what you come up with!
