2003 c32
cant turn off my headlights!!!!! AWWW!!!
2003 c32 amg with bi-xenons all stock
don't know if it was a canadian car?
had a 2002 c32 and a 2005 c55 and both of them were able to shut off low beam and drive around with city lights and fogs only
now i got my 2003 c32 and the rule of thumb with this car is if the motor is running the hid low beams are on!
if i start the car and switch to fog only , the low beams will shut off for about 60 seconds and come back on no matter what.
i tried shining a light at the light sensor to no avail
i got quoted 800 dollars to do an 8k canbus hid low beam and a 3k fog installed (bull****)
so im trying a research my *** off and diy (YEAH!!)

Do you have a setting in the computer under lighting for "headlight mode" in that menu you could see an option for constant or manual... I have mine set to constant on purpose due to the terrible drivers here in MA.
Make sure that is set to manual. Then your HID's will work as normal. Not sure on the wording for the possible menu since you've got a C32 and I'm in a C55. Hope that helps.

Hey Speed 7, I see in your sig pic that you don't have your fog lights on with your HIDs. I noticed mine are no longer on with my headlights and I can't figure what I changed. Is there a separate selection for the fog lights?

So that setting is Headlight mode / Constant in the computer with the headlights set to Auto.
For me in order to turn on my fogs I have to turn on my lights, away from auto. And then pull out 1 click.

Not to my knowledge. My buddies CLK430 which I think was the W208? Older boxier version. He could.. but I've not really looked into it. I don't like my fog lights so much mainly because they don't match the HID's or the PIAA wedge bulbs I have. They are too yellow.. So I only use them when I really need to.

Thanks again Speed7, I left work and used those fog lights this evening. I realized I was trying to pull out on the selector when it was set to AUTO. It seems that would be the only way to have them on permanently - if that were possible
