Advice/Opinions please-Would C63 mufflers w/ tips on my C55 change sound drastically?
Hey fellow AMG brethren,
I'm thinking about purchasing some slightly used C63 mufflers w/ tips that came off a 2012 C63 coupe.
Im planning on installing them on my C55, but I have several questions/concerns. Obviously, the C63 sounds insane and I would like to get my C55 to sound as close to a C63 as possible.
I know kleemann headers with larger piping all the way through can do the trick but would these mufflers achieve the same noise (not concerned about additional power)? The only mods I currently have on my C55 are a Eurocharged ECU tune and a resonator delete. Keeping these facts in mind here are my concerns:
1- Would adding these mufflers w/ tips change the sound of my exhaust drastically, making it sound very close to a C63?
2- Would they fit easily? Simple cut and weld or is there not enough space?
3-Anyone know if C63 exhaust tips fit the stock cut-outs on a C55 bumper?

Yeah, changing the mufflers might give you some sound but do not expect to sound like a C63. There's a reason it sounds the way it does and that is definitely because of its 6.2L. Also, the tips on the C63 mufflers are substantially larger than the ones on the C55 and in my opinion it would look a bit off.
Get some MBH long tubes or get the Kleemann headers w/ downpipes (What I have)..... I guarantee you'll be happy with the sound
