He's got no intell now, let alone when he was younger. Search for threads he's started and then realise it was a grown adult that started them yet still has the nerve to make fun of others. It's akin to an autistic kid w/ a pants-load of crap laughing at the short bus while it drives by.

And yet some on here admit to him cracking them up? I don't get it, but then again, base humor must get base responses.

Nobody is taking anything too seriously, especially your constant, not-so-witty jabs at those who dare post in this forum but don't have a C32/55. It is elitist and trite, though. One can almost see your self-esteem rise a bit each time another user posts just how funny you are. Which is, in itself, a sad commentary on you both.

Of course, the above was posted in a non-serious, internet-way, so kisses and all that.

wait, did I just get shamed for laughing at a E46 civic?!?

I have absolutely no problem with starting out in the auto enthusiast world, we all have done it. I firmly believe that you need to support the newest members, but you can't tell me it isn't a little strange to BUY a car without knowing what it is.

For sure it's more than a bit strange, but I'm not going to make fun of some young guy just getting his feet wet on this forum over it. And it's no less self-aware than some of pointman's silly threads that newbs would get raked over for, but since he has post-count and points out his own ineptness, it's somehow ok.

I also have a HUGE pet-peeve over those who continue to think they're funny and are clearly not. Just like making fun of an extremely fat person takes no real thought or skill, it's simply base and the things middle-schoolers find clever.

Are we really going to all laugh and point in unison at the young guy who might've gotten taken for a ride and ripped off? I'd rather not be a living, breathing version of Biff's friends from Back to the Future.

Do you think this is funny "A list of mods, all cars ever owned and something cribbed from a book, song and/or movie were all just here"?

Only in response to those who list such things in their sigs for some reason. Touch a nerve there did I?

And it's fathoms less annoying than what many on this site slow down the entire place with. I can't count the number of threads on here where the sigs are easily taking 5-10x the space as the thread itself. At least you have your mods listed in sentence form and not stacked so one has to scroll through just the sig to read it all on a 26" monitor. Now that's annoying.

So, using your logic, hyperion667 with his sig is the real dick here. Why not say that since you are on a roll today?
You didn't touch a nerve. As another member here says in his sig, I run my car, not my mouth. Unlike your sig, mine provides valuable info to the folks that like to run their cars. Although pointman's posts are often pointless, he provides a valuable service by bumping certain threads to the top until the OP can get some kind of proper advice. Quoting hyperion667 after he called a member here a dick (and yes, I also called him a dick) is just not productive.
If you have nothing to add to the discussion (and you usually don't), then move along.
And get a 30" monitor. It has 30% larger area.

I haven't called anyone a dick in this thread. His quote I used was for the intell portion, which is the only portion I addressed. Keep it simple lest you confuse yourself looking for things that aren't there.

And yes, hyperion667's sig is annoying as Hell to me, but I don't recall equating that to being a dick either. Maybe you're just hung up on dicks, I don't know? Why is it exactly you've felt the need to address me again? Do we have some history or, like what you're *****ing about me doing, you're not adding anything relevant at all?

And nice dig on my work monitor's size. I've come to expect nothing less of this place. Apparently low-self esteemed members looking for any and every opportunity to be elitist.

haha! Whoo! Life ain't that serious, guy. Its going to be OK, you lurking clown you.

And so my post doesn't get deleted, its not about being elitist. You're painfully slow if you think I am being elitist about a car a dozen years old. Its about someone coming in not even having a clue of what they bought. Better luck next time!

You're elitist, just admit it. You laughed, clearly a sign of being an elitist on a car forum. If you don't take everything more serious, you are a pretentious scumbag.

Difference between me and OP? I know my threads are ridiculous, and I label them as such. If I came into a thread saying I wanted to make my c32 a beast and all that, and then it wasn't even remotely close to being a 32 amg... then yeah, laughs are going to be had. Clearly you haven't been on the internet, cause what transpired here was a few laughs, and very VERY mild in comparison.

Everyone has a different sense of humor, and some people just don't have one. Sorry we don't all match with what you consider funny. You'll be OK, little fella. You got picked on a lot, didn't you.

Dammit, that means I got shamed as well... Pointman, it's all your fault...

Either way who cares, OP is happy with his purchase, trying to pass it as a C32, Pointman offers him an M3 Civic, I laughed, L8Apex got pissed, and the world moves on.

Firstly, nobody is "salty". Secondly, nobody is "trying" anything. You like to point out where the OP, or anyone else, is dumb/stupid or ignorant when it's clearly the rest of you that are "challenged" to rise above mediocrity. So I simply pointed out just how utterly clueless you are trying to make you see you're far from being any better than the OP. Like I posted, it's akin to being autistic w/ a drawer-full of crap laughing at the Down's kids on the short bus. Simply put, it's a sad commentary on the general intellect level of this board and while I come here solely for the tech threads, sometimes the pointing and laughing whilst ganging up on a new member is a joke. And not a good one so I'm surprised none of you give it atta-boys like you do each other.

After everyone gets over being pissed at my sig, get over yourselves.

This thread has gotten so far off topic, it almost deserves to be the first thread in our newest forum, the MBWorld.org Romper Room.

I enjoy some entertaining jabs as much as the next guy but, some members stopped having fun here long ago. Make this either fun or informative or I will need to close the thread.

Thank you for your support.
